Stunning antique Victorian 9ct gold cameo drop earrings. The earrings feature a beautiful peach cameo portraits claw set in 9ct yellow gold. Cameo jewellery became very popular in the Victorian era often they would show a portrait. In the early 19th century cameos features Roman women wearing no jewelry. Victorian women on the Grand Tour brought home these pieces from places such as Italy.

The earrings are hallmarked, '9 375' and the makers mark 'WJP'. The earrings were most likely hand made in England. The earrings are in excellent condition, measuring 0.9cm in length and 0.7cm in width.
